Yeah, that is quite a difference. A much wetter vs. drier nib is the explanation I believe. I have a couple of inks that give radically different results like that. With a nib that's "just right" it probably gives deep shading. Nice scans!

Thanks Capt and South! I'm still looking for a flex fp that gives a more generous flow (preferably one that writes almost like a dip nib in terms of colour). Either that or a stub.

Unhgg -you sure that he feed was clean on that first one...just the colour is soo different...

Nikko G is a dip nib (So the darker colour is a given).
