Hi,

I've just taken an interest in fountain pens and googled FP Forums and came up with this. I'm glad I found it. I have a lot of reading and learning to do.

I just ordered my first fountain pen, a Lamy 2000 with Noodler's Black ink. I can't wait to receive it and see what I've been missing out on.

Nope, I try not to mess around. I've read so many great things about this pen and as far as FP's go, it seems to be on the affordable side.

I can see that pens could wind up like my other addictions. I'm already looking at the Lamy Safari's for a cheaper toss around pen. It would be neat to have an extra converter or two with different inks loaded up.

Wow, a Lamy 2000!! My first pen was a Parker Jotter. Even now, my high end pen is only a Waterman Phileas. If that is your first pen, it will be interesting to see what other acquisitions you make. Welcome to FPN. I'm sure you'll find many interesting suggestions and recommendations here.

Welcome aboard. You should pick up the Safari; it's a great pen, and it's very sturdy as a pen you can take anywhere without fear.

Now that you've dove into the deep end of the pool, fountain pens will eclipse your other hobby time and $$ for a while. Don't say we didn't warn you. thumbup.gif
