Greetings everybody!
I'm a graduate in Beijing, China. The model of my pen is Hero 616 that I've been using since I was in high school. It's so cheap - just 6 yuan ( 8 yuan = 1 dollar ) - yet very comfortable.
I just read an article comparing Hero 616 and Parker 51, and found embarrassedly that 616 is just a copy of 51. So, Parker 51 will be the next choice of mine. The design is excellent!

There's no need to be embarrassed about your pen design. It's been faithful to you for all these years now
A hearty welcome from a guy that's new to FPN as well!

Weclome to FPN! I have both Heros and Parkers, and there's a place for both!

Welcome! Many of us with fancy pens also keep our faithful friends from early days that still write well. A pen is, after all, a writing instrument.

iuwolf, Nie hao!
I have a Hero 100 that I like very much. Hero pens are fine! But you would probably enjoy a Parker "51" also.
My wife is a Beijing native, and I visited that city with her for the first time last year. I'm curious: do you know of a good pen shop in Beijing where they are certain not to be selling fake pens?

Hi iowulf,
Welcome from another new member. I owned many Hero's growing up and they're really great pens.
