Hi,

I am new to this forum. I brought a deep blue waterman carene fountain pen with gold trim many yrs back, around 2001. After trying it out with the initial blue-black ink cartridge, I found that it is not heavy enough and I used to forget bringing it home, so had kept it in storage until recently. It flows very wet and smooth. How can I safely tell its nib size?

Thanks and regards.

Hi, firedrake. The size of the nib should be marked on the bottom of the section, just above the hole. Best,
David

Hi David,

Thanks for responding. In that case, it is a fine. The line written using it is as wide as a medium nib of the custom built fountain pen I am using now.

Regards.
