Hi everyone, I'm Sam, a graduating high school student, and as a Christmas gift my mom gave me a Parker Sonnet.

Now I just can't stop using it. I found this page while looking for tips on how to take care of my pen...

and here I am.

Welcome to FPN, sammy.

Using fountain pens can be addictive, you are discovering!

What inks are available in the Philippines? There are quite a few Phillippine members on FPN.

Enjoy your stay here.

Thanks.

The only ink I know of came with my pen - a bottle of black Quink.

Sammy,

Mabuhay! Welcome. I spent 3 years stationed in the Philippines many years before you were born. I have some friends who live there, in Cubao, Project 4. We have lost touch over the years, but I still think fondly of them often.

Artaddict could probably inform you of places to go in Manila to get pens and ink, as she was there late last year on a visit. She posted some pictures which made me homesick.

As previously posted, there are several FPN members who are from the Philippines, and some of them still live there. Maybe you can connect, if they are not too far separated. I know Metro Manila is huge. I live on the northern outer edge of the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex, and I have difficulty connecting with people in the far southern or western area of the same. And public transporation here is not nearly as good as in the Philippines.

I wish I knew where to get a good ink that i could use. Quink washes away too easily.

Anyone know where in Metro Manila there's a good source of inks?
