I've purchased many different fountain pens since I joined this group over a year ago. I love my Pelikans and Parkers, but was using my formal italic Omas Paragon today and remembered how much I like these Italian nibs. I think it's time to add some more Italian pens to my slowly growing collection. Anyone out there willing to sell their Stipula Etruria Amber FP? I'd prefer a fine nib, but won't be too picky.

Thanks.

It's not the Amber version, but Bittner is having an inventory sale on a Stipula Etruria (Bittner has listed it as "Orange" so I think it's the "Alter Ego" version). Last I checked, the price was $287. I don't know the nib or filling system (you can always email/call to inquire) -- but $287 is less than what I've paid for any of my Etrurias. Also, I noticed that Bittner continues to lower those posted prices as the sale draws closer to its end. So check daily to see if it goes even lower. I purchased some pens the first day of the clearance sale, and noticed that two days later, the price I paid for two pens at sale prices were further reduced another $30 (in total). I called Bittner, and they credited the $30 back to my account -- but I understand this is not something they are obliged to do.

Thanks girlieg33k.

Is that the same color as the "Alter Ego"?

I think so, Dean. The "Alter Ego" is often described as "Salmon" or "Orange," so I'm pretty sure it's the Alter Ego. I edited my initial post to reflect that info, but I'd double check it with Bittner to be sure.
