I want to buy a Black Parker 51 Special Edition, fine nib, but I can only pay by credit card and by posting money. The earliest I can cough up the money is in June.

Good luck.
With that said, I'm thinking you may have a better chance finding your pen if you post this in June when you actually do have the money for it. I don't say that as a criticism because I think you're entitled to ask around about it now, but I offer what I say as advice in case you don't find your pen with this message.

Ah, thanks for the advice. If things go well, though, I should be able to get the money by February. If things don't go well, though, the latest I can get the money by is June. And, what I really want to know is, how much does one cost, exactly?

hmm, i think new it costs 350 or so. if you buy a vintage one, there isn't a fixed cost it's essentially supply&demand. you can get an idea of what these go on ebay if you look at completed auctions - you'll notice it largely depends on the condition and the reputation of the seller.
so, yeah, nothing wrong with your WTB request, but since you can't commit to buy it right now, the potential sellers don't have much incentive to have it it on hold for you.
i think there are several restorers and shops that sell restored pens, look through the 51s they have for sale as there may be one like what you're looking for. i'm very new myself and just learning, but reading through the posts on this site i've found at least 5 different online places that sell restored vintage parkers (of course i don't remember them or i'd send you the list).
anywas, good luck.
