This afternoon, for a very pleasant two-plus hours, we gathered in Ft. Worth for our first-ever meeting. In attendance were Martin Lopez, Will Thorpe, Curtis Hartin, Dan Little, Will Higgins, Clarence Smith, Tim Fooks, and myself. A lively discussion about many things pen, including a fun show and tell session led by Will. Martin, whose birthday is early next month, was surprised by the gift of a beautiful old green Esterbrook Will had restored for him. It was a lovely day - the Ft. Worth stock show is in town - the food was good, and the conversation congenial. We have agreed to do this again and again, on the second Saturday of each odd-numbered month, so we'll be meeting again at noon on March 8 at the Old South Pancake House on University Drive, just south of I-30, in Ft. Worth.

Sounds like you had a great time. I truly wish there was a group near me that I could commiserate with about FP's. I feel like I have so much to learn. I've thought about crashing the one that meets in Dallas, but it seems a little self-indulgent to drive 3 hours, stay in a hotel, spend the $-- just to chew the fat about FP's.
