This is a new ink from Noodlers. 1 of 3 inks in the series. The others are Brooklyb Brawn and Pinstripe Homage.
Next ink will be the latter. Diehard Yankee that I am. Looking at the swatches below it seems that the color for homage and sepia maybe swapped. What do you guys think?

Hope you enjoy.

I was really thinking of Sepia as being a brown color.

Do you have any sense of how the subway brown color compares with Noodler's Antitiem?

I've no experience with that color ink. I hope someone else can answer your question.
Looking at the review again this morning, Im really convinced that my bottle could have been mislabeled or the swatch was inadvertently placed in the wrong image. It looks much more like the bottle on the right. The three images were pulled from the Art Brown Website.

Thank you for taking the time to do this review.

I am discovering that "Sepia" has a pretty wide range of interpretations. I find that broad spectrum a little disconcerting. Some, like Omas' Sepia, are a very pleasant light brown. Some, like MB's Sepia, are more burgundy. In fact, to my eye the MB Sepia is indistinguishable from their Bordeaux. This color is yet another interpretation, and just might be a little closer to the natural fresh-from-the-sea Sepia than some of the others. I like it, but I have trouble qualifying its character. Is it dark brown with green undertones? It looks a but like Herbin's "Cacao de Brasil," again to MY eye. I am really interested to hear others' impressions of this color.

I have heard of this Noodler's series and was curious to see their character. Are you going to try to review the other two colors?

Did you try shaking the bottle and see if that made a difference? Several of my Noodlers really have to be shaken to get the true color to come out.
SteadyHand
Thank you for your kind words. Hardyb, I dont remember shaking it. I definitely give that a shot. I will post if that makes a difference or not.

I don't think they're swapped. The Pinstripe swatch is the dark blue of the Yankee uniform.

Thanks for the review. I agree: your sample looks very much like the Brooklyn Brawn swatch and nothing at all like the Sepia one.

These colors are new, so hopefully we'll see some more reviews to clear up the confusion.

Even within the Noodler's brand there is apparently a discrepancy in the definition of Sepia.

Noodler's Swishmix Semiole Sepia can be best described as a rich amber color.
At least on paper, the Subway Series Sepia seems like a much darker and cooler color.

These all look very nice. Are they exclusive to Art Brown? Are these inks bulletproof?
