I like journals that do not have any lines. Does anyone know if there are compostion notebooks that do not have lines?

I've never seen composition notebook without rulings. They do have them quad ruled, which I've seen used in lab.

Moleskine and many other makers produce blank books, but they are considerably more expensive than comp books.

Do you have a College or University nearby? I have bought blank composition books at two different college bookstores with 20lb. paper.

I'm not sure what makes a notebook a "composition" book, actually, now that I think about it...?

By composition I mean this: http://pics.drugstore.com/prodimg/92893/200.jpg Wat I'm really after is a notebook this size, or similiar, with a hard or stiffer binding. I really like using legal pads, but I can't stand that they don't have covers. I save my long hand material, and a cover helps protect my work. Andy feesdback would be great. I'm open to other options.

I have two universities nearby, Helene. Do you remember the brand of the notebook?

Thanks All!

You can get hardbound blank compostion books by Blueline or Rediform (A9P) or I picked this up recently by Winnable (It looks exactly the same, only it has a fountain pen on the cover)

http://www.winnable.com/composition_books.htm - scroll down for item number of plain page one.

Or I think there is one by Roaring Spring that's got cardboard covers and blank pages.
Sorry, no URL for you there...

Good luck!

ETA: Just re-read the thread and the ruled or squared notebooks I mentioned in my reply won't fit the "blank" part you specified. I don't think I've ever seen blank composition book. Maybe you could check with an art supply house.

EDITED EARLIER REPLY:

The Levenger Notablia notebooks only come in ruled or squared varieties.

Even without blank pages, it does have a green cover so it looks more grownup than the drug store variety.

Of course, Levenger also sells a leather cover for it (they pretty much sell a leather cover for everything).

They come in packs of two and are a bit pricier than the drug store variety, but you have to pay to look like a grown up.

I am pretty sure it is roaring springs, but it could be a different supplier, it is one of the common brands.
