One of my 51s has several dings and dents on cap, I want send it to a goldsmith to fix it. But when I removed the clip, I had trouble in removing its inner cap and clutch. Would anyone please teach me how to do it? Thank you.

Ya... I found his website by google.

But the problem is that I don't live in the U.S. The price of fixing and the shipment is enough to buy a new 51. blink.gif

Thanks anyway.

Yike,

Try Dr Oldfield at Pen Practice

He has fixed two gold caps and a rolled silver for me

Wow...That's a reasonable charge.
I'll consider that.
Thank you for introducing such a good website. wub.gif

My pleasure!

Laurence is a really good guy, I buy some horrible thing on FleaBay and he fixes it up like new, and for not a lot of money.

I sent him a really tatty P51, broken hood, GF cap that somebody had used as a hammer, nib that was twisted and in a general poor condition. I had said for him to use it for parts, then after two days I get a note back from him, saying that he could fix the cap, replace the nib and hood and lo and behold I get back a really good user grade pen for less that 30GBPs.

I just can't fault the guy, no connection yada yada yada, just a VERY satisfied customer!
