Hello everybody. I found this place whenever I have Googled for fountain pen info. I decided I should join up. I've been a fountain pen enthusiast for about 2 years. I have 5 pens: 2 Shaffer, 2 Penatia, 1 Aldo Domani. I'm really spoiled on using fountain pens, now. I can't believe the difference between using a fountain pen and a ball point. I love to write, but I have wrist and shoulder pain, so using a FP really helps ease the effort and strain of handwriting for me. Pain issues aside, I've had difficulty writing in cursive, all my life... that is, until I discovered the fountain pen. My cursive penmanship has improved dramatically in a very short time. On the other hand, my printing has always been excellent. I've lusted after a Waterman Phileas —or better— for a few years now, but I just have never been able to afford one. Maybe someday I'll get a higher-end pen.

You're in the right [write?] place. Welcome! If you hunt around the Waterman forum, you'll get lots of advice on sites that have Phileas for less than list price. Feel free to drop in on the Penmanship section as well.

Hi there Silver54321.
IANAN contemplates adding a few numbers to his name just to push the boundaries of contextual irony...

That might change your status as a "free man".
