start posting some hand-written quotes again?

I've got one I'm going to work on later - trying to actually write neatly but that means it will not be posted until tonight or sometime this weekend.

Okay, since you started this thread, here is one I posted at James Pickering site. It is infested with errors but Russ and Adam Frank was impressed nevertheless. It is my first try with Calligraphy Fountain Pen.

Here's another. I am still trying to get the size of the image correct!

FC - your early attempts at calligraphy look good to me. I've not practiced in weeks so I'm embarrassed to even post what I did today. I'll keep trying. I know I say this a lot but I really have developed a strong tremor in my right hand. I get upset about it which probably only makes it worse.

KCat, I am sure you will come through. Write as it occurs to you. The writing is easy, it is the occurring that may be hard. But once you get through that, it is plain sailing.

Kurt, was that taken with a camera? If you set your resolution to 640 x 480, it would about right for our monitors. You can easily reinsert the image tag when you get it right. BTW, cool seal. Where did you get it?

Aw, I want to try this! I love seeing the handwriting. Will a scan come through okay? I have a great camera, but I don't know how to use it.

Yes, scans in colour at 150 or 200 dpi comes out quite nicely. Keep your sample to half letter size paper. That way we don't have to scroll sideways. We look forward to your sample.

Here's the larger version of the writing sample. I think it's 480 x 640. I shrunk it the first time to save bandwidth. The seal is from Hong Kong and is mostly my first and last name.

That is much better Tytyvyllus. And I must say, your handwriting has high legibility. A board specially for this huh? Why not. Denis, KCat what do you think of the idea?

Looks like we don't have a whole board but at least a section. SOme of the masses have spoken and the board host replied. Great work everyone!

I posted this to RS for Chela but thought it would be nice to include here.

As noted in the RS post - more flex can be achieved with both nibs if I use a different handwriting style (not slanted) but I didn't do that here because the intent is to show how fine a line a semi-flexible nib can actually create when the flex isn't pushed. I consider these to be flexible nibs myself but I'm going with "semi-flex" so as not to be chastised by purists. :-) They aren't wet-noodles but they don't take much effort to flex either.
