Well, my first Waterman was a Hemishphere in marble green with gold trim. Bought it with some Christmas money. Love it. Very nice feeling and smooth writing. Seems to be the norm. When I opened it I noticed that the cap seemed loose when it was capped. Just wiggled a little. I worried about it leaking, and just thought it didn't live up to the Waterman standards that I had read about. I sent it up north to the service center for repair. Didn't even get to use all of the first cartridge of ink! They informed me that all repairs now go to France. Guess it will be a while before I get to enjoy it again.

Anybody else come across any loose caps?

Still impressed with the quality, and I love the ink so far. I am also eyeballing the Charleston. Great looks! Hope I can try one soon.

My Hemisphere has a loose cap when it's posted. I have always just fiddled with it until I get it fairly well stuck. It can be annoying, but the pen is otherwise very nice. Metal bodied pens are a little heavy for me, so I frequently write with the caps unposted anyway. The Charleston is a nice looking pen, though I've never held one.
