I HAVE A CROSS PEN AND PENCIL SET THAT I BELIEVE IS FROM THE LATE 60'S EARLY 70'S AND I WANTED TO FIND OUT IF THESE ARE STERLING SILVER OR CHROME, IT COMES WITH A BROWN POLISHING CLOTH.

Hi, kijape. You'll have better luck posting this in the forum dedicated to Cross. This is the Montblanc forum. Best,

Kijape, welcome to the Fountain Pen Network!
I've moved this thread over to the Cross forum, where I hope that someone can answer your question.

I had a set like this in Sterling ages ago.

In her book, "Writing History, 150 years of the A T Cross Company" Barbara Lambert identifies this set as a ladies set from approx 1968. A photograph of a similar set in 10K and 14K gold fill appears on page 159 of the book

they're sterling -- you can tell by the thin black band at the top. the chrome is wider. i have a set that is sterling, and yours looks like mine.
