Found this Kokuyo notebook at my local stationery store. The paper size is 17cm X 6 cm with 20 pages. It has the same feel as plastic dollar bills. As usual, the paper is stitched. Not stapled for those who worry about rust. Cost about US$3.50

I have always wanted to try waterproof papers but heard they are impervious to fountain pen inks. I think I know one ink that may just do the job. Platinum Carbon Ink. The ink is recommended for archival purposes and writes well on photographic paper. People says it clogs. Its on my Decimo and I don't have any problem with it. Its also my favorite black ink.

Here is the result after taking a hot shower with the paper on the floor, 10 minutes after I wrote on it. The smeared part is when I was testing if it has dried sufficiently.

Ladies and Gentlemen. I think I found the ink you can take your field notes with.

Interesting stuff! I've noticed a few of the Japanese brands make an all-weather notebook - nice to hear a bit more about them. smile.gif

(PS: But now I'm tempted to write on my money with Platinum Carbon ink to see what it feels like... laugh.gif )
