Hello,

I'm looking for a nice ballpoint or rollerball pen. I would like something that has a metal barrel and can handle daily use....but I would be open to something with a plastic/resin barrel as well.

I would like to keep the price around $40-$50 including shipping to Canada. I'm not worried about getting the original box or papers, as this is going to be a daily use "beater" pen.

let me know what you have.

Thanks
James

Zebra F-301. It's a ballpoint, but it has a gel pen feel and is available in almost any office-supply store or Target-like store. Brushed stainless barrel with checkered plastic grip. It's a little skinny, but it's an inexpensive, refillable, dependable beater ballpoint. The F-301 Ultra has a cushier rubber grip. These have been my favorite ballpoints since the early 90's.

I have a few that would either come close or meet your criteria:
*Delta Europa blue resin with white marbling and silver trim
*Montblanc Noblesse Oblige in gray metal with silver trim
Rotring Initial black resin with silver
Sheaffer Prelude black resin with gold trim
Sheaffer Prelude silver with chrome trim
*Waterman Expert Smart black resin with silver trim
*Waterman Carene royal violet metal barrel with gold trim
*Waterman Carene garnet red metal barrel with gold trim
Waterman Phileas blue resin with black and gray marbling, gold trim

(those with * are close, but a little more than the range you specified)

Let me know if any of these interest you.

Thanks,

Three choices, all with metal barrels:

1. Libelle Chromatic gunmetal BP - $30
2 & 3 - two different, but similar Faber Castell BPs - no model name (they look just like a Parker Urban in terms of size and shape). One black/matte silver, the other silver/silver. Barrels are guilloche. $25 each.

Add $5 for shipping on any/all. Money back, but why lie at these prices?

Cross Century II. $50USD is the list price of the chrome one and you could probably find it discounted in Canada below that figure. They are very sturdy pens and the refills are good. (If you want to write on butter Fisher makes a Cross replacement refill.)

Fisher also makes some very sturdy pens in your price bracket.

They are handy if you wish to write on the ceiling.
