Hi,
I'm trying to figure out the history of the french brand Edacoto. I found some nice picture and some info here: http://www.stylos-francais.fr. I also read a few pages dedicated to this brand on the book "Fountain Pens" of A. Lambrou (I hope this is the right title, I have an italian translation, and I'm translating back the italian title). But in the end I was trapped in a lot of holes and discrepancies, so I'm asking here if someone know more about this brand.
I already summarized all I was capable to understand about Edacoto on this page (sorry, the page is in italian, my english is just too bad to try to write articles). But I'm sure that the page above is full of errors, so if someone has a little more knowledge about this brand (or any material that I can use) I will be vert happy if he would share it here.
The following are my main concerns:
1. From both the sources (book and website) I was not capable to understand when the brand was founded, it seem just before WW I, but I have no year.
2. The Lambrou book reports the Super Edacoto 200 born in 1938, the site above reports 1938.
3. Lambrou talks about a ''Stylo de france'' born in 1947, the site above says that this name was given to the model Edacoto 87 of 1943 (they both agree on this year for Edacoto 87).
So I found the whole thing quite confused. I'd highly appreciate any help, and also any direction on where to find a good source of information (book or whatever) on french brands.
Thank you
Simone
