Forgive me if this has been discused but I could not find this topic in my searches. I like the Pilot G-2 Gel pen in blue ink, what fountain pen ink matches this color best? I intend to use this in my Safari medium nib fountain pen.

Thanks

Not 100% sure, but American Blue by PR looks closest to me

Pilot G2 gel roller blue is precisely one of the hues that very few fountain pen ink manufacturers have gotten close to.

I agree. Other good candidates for this hue include PR DC Supershow Blue (similarly dark), PR Lake Placid Blue (a little bit lighter and a tiny bit purpler), Diamine WES Imperial Blue (toward cobalt), and Visconti Blue (in either shape of bottle). All five of these are available in bottles and short international cartridges (edit: but then j15 is choosing ink for a Lamy, which isn't designed to take international cartridges).

Edit: Noodler's Ottoman Azure also belongs on this list. It is bottled only.
Edit: PR DC Electric Blue too.

Thanks all, I am going to try the American Blue. I appreciate your comments as I have trouble comparing color charts!
