Writing and losing weight

This is extremely interesting since we were discussing journaling at my diet group this morning (BTW ~ 5.4 lb loss this week)
They already know I am a FP junkie and take notes in my journal during meetings....
I will be bringing this article into next week's meeting....

Now... the mercenary side of me says.... how much can I sell the boatload of Moleskin journals I bought for next to nothing and how many pens can I sell at the same time...
I mean, after all, buying good food can be expensive than junk food....

Grats on the 5.4 lb loss!

Heh, this is a good way to offload some of those Moleskines and to bring more FP users into the fold. Good call!

That aside, the article does make some good points, and it beats sigmoid colectomy surgery and a diet of pain killers and water for 6 weeks. I came off that diet mid-December. I lost 20 lbs and only have regained 3 lb over the holidays. Trying to keep the rest far away from me. Writing is good. 'nuff said.

Interesting concept. I wonder if it actually works. If it does, I'll probably do all my stuff by hand!

Nice. I've been at this diet thing since October and am down a total of 40 pounds....so keep it up!

Very interesting article.

From all the entries above, I feel inspired. I'm going from 20 pages a day to 40! Now if I can learn to write with both hands at the same time, I can't shovel anything in with my free hand. hmm1.gif

Congrats to all on your weight loss! thumbup.gif I think I mentioned elsewhere that I'm currently in a diet study (in the control group, so no good drugs or anything - just have to stick to 1500 calories a day) and I've lost 40# since June. Maybe it's because I have so many journals that I routinely use. rolleyes.gif

Books like this bug me though. They always act like there's some special spin, that only this author knows, that makes weight loss more or less successful, but when you get down to it, it's all the same - caloric intake must be less than caloric expenditure - simple science. Even this book, stresses the benefits of exercise, specifically walking, according to the Amazon reviews.

But I suppose anything that inspires people to improve themselves is good, right? happyberet.gif
