If you get the chance buy this book (or borrow it from your library):

"An Elegant Hand: The Golden Age of American Penmanship and Calligraphy" by William E. Henning, and edited by Paul Melzer

It contains the lifes and works of some of the most prominent early caligraphers in USA. The samples in there are simple mind blowing.

Hi Antonios,

Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm looking for a reference that will provide a classification and examples of script fonts.
Are you aware of any?
I'm looking for a font for a stationery engraving and would like to see as many as possible.

Regards,
Jeen

Jeen,

I am not sure sad.gif This is probably something that you should like in to graphic arts references, rather than caligraphy references. I am hoping someone more versed in that area will provide a good suggestion.
