I was wondering what the going rate for both a restored and unrestored Fifth Avenue is these days. I just picked up a CA ballpoint and I really like the size and weight of it and have always like the looks of the Fifth Avenue. Any help is appreciated!

Penguinmaster,
It is hard to give a simple answer to your question. Not just because of the normal fluctuations in price as reflected in recent history of sales and general supply and demand issues, but also because one must know the condition of the pen in question, and also if it a sub-species of the Fifth Avenue line (solid gold cap, gold filled cap, 6?4 pen etc., etc.) Also original box and papers adds a little to the value. And yes color does seem to matter in Fifth Avenues with Buckskin seeming to be at the top and Black at the bottom of the range with Red and Blue somwhere in the middle.

But in general, however, if we assume the pen in question is in excellent condition (assuming further that we can all agree that Excellent means 1 step below "near mint" - but lets not get lost down that dusty road - in a gold filled cap you might be looking at somewhere between $50 and $95...Add $50 for solid Gold Cap, add $25 more for solid gold cap 6?4 , etc. Value drops precipitously for pens of lesser condition (like in good conditon you can find them for $15 to $20.) CA pens take of about 1/3 from the fountain pen value ranges.

Just my somewhat educated point of view of course,

Not sure this helps much, but at least we tried.
