Hi,

Not sure where to post this topic...I'll probaby post this in the general forum also...can't find any info when I do a search, sorry.

Where can I purchase the plastic, transport tubes, that some sellers ship their pens in. I've seen them in black and a clear transparent model. I like these for temporary storage, shipping for repairs etc.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Try the Pen Turning and Making Forum, I bet they can and will help.

Nothing beats schedule 80 PVC pipe and caps for shipping pens -- I'd bet you could drive a truck over it and not hurt the pens!

Available at any hardware store, if rather ugly.

Thank you! I was trying to remember that site. "It's the site with the subscriber catalogs of vintage pens. Who was that, again?"

I agree with Peter. It's hard to beat PVC pipe which you can pick up at many locations and for quite a bit less, plus you can cut it to your pen's length. Works great!

Wow!!!
Thanks everybody for the responses. I have saved alot of the PVC pipes that alot of overseas sellers have shipped pens to me in. I would agree that the PVC is much more sturdy........I will use those to ship pens in....I like the clear plastic tubes for my own use as short term storage. I see where Gopens .com has the clear ones, about a buck a piece.

Thanks again for all the help. what a great and friendly forum. biggrin.gif
