I was down at Staples picking up some stationary supplies and I saw that they had Waterman pens for sale. Mostly rollerballs and ballpoints. As I was about to leave, I spied a Black Phileas in the back of the display rack in a giftbox with a cartridge and a converter and snatched it on a whim. I've been wanting to get a fountain pen for some time now, and I finally got around to it. It's a simple black with gold trim, but I wouldn't consider it plain by any means.
This is the first FP that I have owned, and I'm looking forward to some great writing with it, based on what I've seen from others' experiences. Good size and comfortable. Nice thick lines, compared to my standard zebra f-301 pen. Hoepfully this doesn't lead to another collection addiction like the ones Ive got for old cameras and old video game systems.
Nice to officially meet you all. I'll continue to visit, hopefully more frequently now.
