Thanks for introducing me to one I'd never think to try, but now have added to my ever lengthening list of wants...

This is one of my favourites. I have it in my MB149 that I am using today. I agree it has a nice flow. I think it flows even a little better than the MB standard blue ink. I recommend trying it.

You're welcome
Yure, I mean Ghost. I'd like to take a crack at Noodler's as well, but there aren't any B&M shops that carry them...

Thanks Pep! It's going to replace SSB with this because it feathers on cheap paper.
For some odd reason, MB Violet is an elusive ink... None of the local shops in my area carry the ink!

Immoteus, which one feathers on cheap paper, SSB or MB Turq?

The colour and quality of this ink depends greatly on the instrument-in my Lamy 2000 its wonderful, full of colour and depth, in my old aero P51 it was very watery with no real depth...

Thanks for that, I'd never have considered the MB otherwise. I'm always after a good, light turquoise. I'll try this after I get my paws on some Diamine turquoise.

Richard.

Beautiful. Very much like the old Sheaffer Peacock Blue that's no longer made.

Good review. Thanks.
I am not a fan of blue ink since I was constrained to blues and blacks as a kid during the dark ages. However, this ink is my all time favorite blue and I love it. I have yet to have this ink misbehave in any pen. I think your scan gives a good idea of the color of the ink, but I doubt there is a scanner available that can capture the shimmering translucence of this ink in person! During the dark, cold days of winter, this ink is a great mood booster.

I am currently using this very ink and I must agree 100% with the OP review. It seems better than the Visconti turquoise I got with my pen. In fact the Van Gogh seems to like the MB ink better... though that could be because of the initial fill. I am again going to try the Visconti turquoise on my next fill and see. The Visconti is slightly lighter, but faster to dry. It is also a beautiful colour, with a tad less shading - it is more uniform than the MB.

Oh great! NOW I have another ink to add to my want list! Actually, I have been looking for a good turquoise and this may be it. The problem is my husband has pointed out that I now have more ink colors than I have pens (how observant of him). I naturally said well then I obviously NEED more pens! Lashelle

I wonder if that'd work with my boss? If so, I need urgently to go on an ink buying spree.

I forgot that I ought to have added that my MB turquoise ink is a year or two older than the Visconti which may have made the difference in shade/darkness comparison.

I just bought this on a whim, and I love it!!!
The only other turquoise I've used was Waterman south seas, and I didn't like its electric intensity.
The MB turqoise has a calmer hue that is easy on the eyes, and I just find it to be beautiful. I'm always amazed at how small differences in color and saturation can make such a difference. I can't believe a turquoise is now my favorite ink!

So, Waterman's or MB's or Pelikans turq is the way to go?

There are more than those two. Perhaps check out the review section.
I'm still having alotta fun with the MB. I feel like I'm writing from Hotel Bora Bora all the time.

I just received a bottle of this ink yesterday, which I bought as a result of this review. Now all I need to do is figure out what pen to put it in. In the meantime, I'm enjoying the MB Racing Green I also purchased. These plus a recent bottle of Blue obtained in a trade, are my first MB inks and I must say they're excellent.

Hi,
Glad you like them! The turquoise is really fun.
BTw, the racing green is a very interesting ink, because it looks very different depending on the degree of flow of your pen. I have it in a pen with a fine nib with steady but thin flow, and the color is so beautiful. This color I prefer to what I see in a wider nib with greater flow which produces a much darker green, although some may feel the opposite.
