It is worth what someone is willing to pay you for it. If I offer you $5 for it, and nobody else offers more, then it is worth $5.00. I'm sure someone will offer more than $5.00!
Alternative methodes of value evaluation include:
- Asking a panel of experts
- Finding similar pens with recent sales history
- Conducting an auction
- Put it on the market for a rediculously high price and then lowering it step by step until it sells.
There are also objective issues that affect value including condition, scarcity, and hype. I'd also suggest including a photo as not every potential customer is familiar with the Aspen or willing to research it elsewhere on line.
