Does anyone know which blue it will be closest to in color?

Roger,
I posted a similar link in the other Luxury Ink thread! And have to say it's an 'eeeh' blue color.

Stephen - Don't think it'll be an aquamarine type, but look at the link I provided and see for yourself what it looks like to you under the lights that Nathan has shown it.

It's hard to tell from those pictures what the ink really looks like. To me, it looks like about five different inks!

Some of them are rather nice, IMO (aaah, not eeeh).

Nice enough that I will spring for a bottle. Oh, Chuck....!

That's kinda ironic as one of the super special selling points is that the ink's color does not change under whatever light it is seen with!

Yes, the irony wasn't lost on me. /:) But I ascribe the different aspects in the picture to the vagaries of digital imaging, not to the ink itself. Personally, I'm more interested by the bulletproof-ness of the ink than the fluorescence, or whatever it's called. Though an ink that glowed in the dark would be neat.

But I don't see the environment-friendly Nathan adding radium to his ink anytime soon.

First color swab scan of Luxury Blue that I've seen is now
hereIn that particular presentation it's not that impressive to me, at least. I'm gettin' a bottle nonetheless. Many of the swabs at this site have a 'graininess' about them. I suspect that this is a function of how that particular swap wet the paper surface. Some tiny foreign matter on the paper, perhaps?
Judging by the swabs, it doesn't look much different than Navajoe Turquoise right underneath it. Maybe a purer blue than NT, without the turquoise element showing in the less dense area of the swab.
We shall see what we shall see, I guess.

From the example it looks just like the Noodler's blue ( 3 rows down to the right). SO I guess if you don't want the special qualities you can get the same color in their regular lineup.

I've ordered a bottle from the store that you link to. I would hope to have it in a few days.
As soon as I do I'll scan a handwriting sample and post. I'll endeavour to get what I see on my screen as close to what I see on the paper. I'm sure this means that only users of 20" iMacs will see the same but such is the digital way.... <_<

Some of them also look a lot lighter than on other sites, especially the Zhivago.
Yep, that blue sample doesn't look great, but it is just one sample, and I assume that most people will by this ink for its "bulletproof" qualities rather than its shade of blue.
Thanks for the link.

Can't wait to see scans and comments from David, Roger, & Viceguy. Hope it's a nice, bright royal blue and not another turquiose. I've already got Aquamarine, and though I like the color of regular Noodler's Blue, I can't use it without smearing it. I have no trouble with any of the waterproof colors I've got with regard to smearing.

Haven't ordered it from that link source, Ann. Waiting for it to become available stateside. Nathan must have shipped it early to The Writing Desk in the U.K.
How about you, Ray? Any coming your way?

Now that Pam at Oscar Braun's has this ink in stock, I'll definitely have to try a bottle. I was in her store today and I must say, the color of the ink itself is intriguing.
It's about time someone around here did! LOL.

Yes, she just started. She doesn't have all the colors in yet but that's just a matter of time, I'm sure.

An update: so far, it seems like none of the traditional big Noodlers retailers are selling it. I suspect Swisher Pens, Pendemonium, and Art Brown have no reason to sell this ink since it would be compteting with their own exclusive Noodler waterproof blues (Aquamarine Blue, Legal Lapis, and Legal Blue). True, this one is supposedly bulletproof too, but that still means it will compete with their exclusive products. So far, it seems like Oscar Braun has it and I have also seen it on the Pen Lover's paradise site for $10.75.

Swisher pens has it. It's under Accessories --> Bottled ink --> scroll down to the bottom of page 1. (It isn't listed with other inks - it has its own entry.)

Today, Swisher (here in the U.S.A.) showed Noodler's Luxury Blue as "on backorder" (already?!).
A Pen-Lover's Paradise, www.apenloversparadise.com, here in the U.S.A., had it in stock today. I got my Noodler's Black from there, with excellent service.
Noodler's Black is meeting my water-resistant-writing needs for now, so I'm waiting until I've used up my Levenger Cobalt Blue before I order Luxury Blue for myself. However, I am going to give Luxury Blue as a gift soon.
