Hi,
These are just the right pens for me. Thanks Grasshopper!

I will get you a written review this weekend.

Hi,
The black pen has been identified to be a Sailor Ha-Su-Ka-Ru. The Sailor catalog says that it has an Urushi style coating.

Very nice pens, Dillon. I noticed your comment in another thread about only being able to use very slim Sailor pens. Have you, just out of curiosity, tried the Aurora Hastil? It might be worth a try if you haven't: it's extremely slim, has a nice nib, and is very stylish (in a minimalist/modernist way). I bought one on eBay a while back, and I was surprised (having never held one before) at how slender it is. It's *almost* too thin for my hand, but I like the look of it too much to part with it.

There are very slim Sailor fountain pens, pretty cheap one, called Sailor Chalana

Hi,
Oh, yes, there is the Sailor Ballerie, Trident, and Chalana. I just looked for the Chalana last night and saw a good price. That Chalana comes with an 18K nib.

Hi,
Maybe I should look for the Mont Blanc Noblesse. It is essentially the same pen.

This little green Pel M100 that I recently got from TMann might be another to look at, Dillon. With its Binderized fine stub steel nib, it is a great writer and quite small in all directions. Probably even smaller than the current M150. And like all the Pels, as the overall size goes down the gripping section is reduced proportionately. The section on this narrows down to just a smidgeon over 5/16 in. diameter.
I'd offer you this one, but I'm having too much fun using it!

If it is typical of the M100s, it is really a great pen for those who like 'em small!

Hey Dillon,
Why don't you take a pic of them next to a Core? Those are huge! I could lend you mine. Just to compare the sizes...

Hi,
I will look toward a Pelikan M300 Green Stripe for Pelikans. The M100 is a bit bigger.

The Caran D'Ache 'Madison' and 'Madison2' series are quite slim FPs, also those of the S.T. Dupont 'Classique' series.
Oh, and think of the Parker 180s ...
Another find on ebay, showing an ultra-slim vintage montblanc simplo:

Neat photo...nice to see then near a pencil. I'm new enough to fountain pens that I was wondering what else you have to choose from other than some vintage or M200s. I think I need to compile a list for myself. I am rather fond of how sailor pens look. I had no idea they made a slim one.

Hi,
That is my favourite drawing pencil--the Staedtler Lumograph. It is about 6MM. Pencil thin Sailors...I really like them. The next thin pen I am getting is a Waterman Ici Et La. It is either still in Australia or in the air.
