I have a Monteverde Arista FP (lots of pictures at hisnibs.com) I'm quite fond of, but lately it has deposited more ink in the barrel and on my fingers than on the page.
Although the included converter never seated as securely as my other pens, lately it has started leaking. The ink then works its way up the inside of the barrel (outside the coverter) and out the feed (onto my fingers).
I'd prefer to keep using the existing converter--it has the only (to my knowledge) clear twist-mechanism, which really adds to the demonstrator motif.
I'm a relative rookie at repairs, but I'm willing to try virtually anything that doesn't present a high probability of irreparable damage.
Edited to correct typo.
