Wrench? Don't use a wrench, you can use standards slip joint pliers and put a 1 inch length of 5/16 rubber hose (slit lengthwise) on the barrel and one on the section to protect the pen. Grinding down the serrations on the pliers is a good precaution or you can wrap them with electrical tape. Protection is essential. Then you can slide up the hose on the barrel, GENTLY heat up the barrel, put the piece of hose back in place, grab your pliers, twist and pull off. No excessive force. There are diiferent variations but this method is pretty safe. For heat, a small heat gun is best but a small stream of hot water works too. If you have junk pen to practice on, so much the better.
Good luck

Here's
Richard Binder's page on how to replace sacs. If you're feeling nervous, you might want to try it first with a junker pen.
I am not nervous about replacing sacs in general. I just haven't replaced the sac in a 14k gold pen and wondered if there was any tidbits of information I should know before attempting it.
I know I am not the only person with a Gold Skyline Wahl Fountain Pen. Is there someone out there in Pen Land who has changed a sac in one of these babies. I am a bit worried. The section will probably come free with heat, but I don't want to damage the barrel with with my wrench. Am I being overly worried do you think?
