My Lamy 2000 has the traditional problem: a dot of ink forms on the underside of the feed where the aluminum meets the plastic. Those of you who have experienced this are familiar with the problem.

I keep wondering ... whether a tiny bit of rubber cement might be kneaded into the microscopic gap between the aluminum and the plastic. I fear, however, that the cement might (a) make its way into the feed and cause greater trouble and/or (cool.gif damage the plastic at the place of work.

What other solutions might exist for this tiny but troublesome drip? Inky fingers are expected in this hobby, but it looks bad to have to clean the section during meetings...

Thank you in advance.

I haven't had the problem on any of the Lamy 2000 pens that I own or have owned.....

There are a couple of possible problems. 1] A bad seal in the piston 2] A bad 0 ring in the section, though if the later I would think you'd find ink on your fingers. Therefore I doubt that rubber cement (which is intended for paper, not pens BTW) wouldn't buy you much. If you want to use a selant, Giovanni's section sealant would be better.

Have you contacted Lamy?
