I have a Waterman 12 eyedropper that has a real wet-noodle nib. The pen is fairly wet writing, but has problems with skipping that come up when it gets flexed.

The problem seems to be that the nib flexes away from the feed when it is flexed significantly. It works fine when held at a very steep (near to verticle) angle, but not at a lower angle. I tried heat-setting with hot water, but that didn't seem to help much (maybe it wasn't hot enough?)

Is this a common problem with wet-noodles? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I am glad that you brought up this question, strange, I was thinking the same thing with one of my older waterman lever filler pens.

Hi Johnny,

I've never heat-set a pen's feed before, but there is an interesting discussion on the subject here on CollectingBanter.com....
