I recently watched a movie - Man About Town - where Ben Affleck was learning about journal writing from John Cleese. Researching on journal writing landed me to FPN. Browsing through the many discussion threads on Penmanship / Calligraphy has rejuvenated my interest in this art form. Was pretty good at this during art classes in primary and secondary school in Malaysia.
Reading FPN have also re-sparked my interest in FP. I've been using FP since I was about 9 or 10 yrs old. I've been mixing FP with ballpoints and rollerballs for many, many years. I did start a collection of FPs when I was a student. Don't know why but I stopped. When I stopped, that was probably when I stopped using FP. I started using FP again about 4-5 years ago when I found my long lost my yellow Lamy Safari which I bought in 1992 in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, UK. Since then, I've bought my second Lamy Safari (in red) and use it almost exclusively in my professional life as a Human Resource manager.
Bought my first moleskine notebook to start my journal (another ambition which I've had since 1997 but never got around to start it). This is a new year resolution to (i) start writing a journal (ii) improve my handwriting / calligraphy skill, and (iii) reward myself with a nice FP when I am consistent in jotting entries in my journal and be bold enough to post my handwritten notes online.
That's all I've got to share folks!
