Full Version: Need help on a Sheaffer Touchdown Pen

I have a Sheaffer touchdown pen which needs repairs to the ink filling system (most likely just sac replacement) and cleaning. The nib is in a very good condition and writes fine. Will someone please guide me to a right place to get this repair done? Elsewhere on this forum, I have read articles encouraging people like me to try and do such repairs by myself but I don't want to take any chances with this pen. Attached are some snaps of the pen. Though the snaps are not so good, I hope they give atleast a general idea of the pen.

Thanks a lot in advance.

You can resac this yourself, but the O-ring should be probably be replaced too.
$30-35 plus shipping for it to be fully restored and ready to write, it is a fairly straightforward repair. The only problem area might be cracks under the inlaid nib that seep ink, but it's rather rare for that to occur.
