Do all Waterman 94's sell for more than the other models, if so, why? Is it size?
This set sold for a pretty penny…
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...A:IT&ih=009 Is because it was a 94 set, or because it was a blue ripple? Both?
PS Did anyone else see all the pens that he/she sold? One word... Wow!
Thanks for the help and Cheers!

Blue ripple is tough to come by.
The only one rarer is the rose (yellow/red) ripple.
Sets are tougher than single pens.
94's are scarcer than the smaller 52V.
So, did the set merit the price? Probably yes.
I didn't really look at it or the condition, but these hard-to-find ripples seem to only be going up in price.
Even having been to several pen shows, and watching various auctions, I would say I have seen less than 100 blue ripple pens in any size.
Maybe only 5 or so sets?
Definitely less than 100 of the rose ripple over a period of 20 years or so.

I watched that auction out of curiosity. As someone interested in the "colors of ebonite," I'll have to break down and get a blue ripple someday (as well as a rose ripple). That said, a 52V would suit me just fine in either color.

The deal is that some people have lots of jack to spend on pens!
