I found a website for Takuya pen cases. Apparently they specialize in handmade leather goods. Unfortunately I don't read Japanese.

Anyone know if/where these are available in the US?

Capsule (the one I really want) - JY 28,000 = US$ 252
Maybe we can prevail on some nice stateside vendor to stock these beauties.

I'll just buy one when I go back to Japan soon. I've seen those at Takashimaya and Mitsukoshi (Large Japanese department stores).
You can order yourself by just emailing them, but I'm sure orders probably have to be in Japanese.
Translation of the order page:
セミオーダー(semi order (partial order)) > 2ヵ月 (nikagetsu) (2 months time+)
1 - ご注文 (gochuumon) - (make) order/request
2 - 銀行口座へのお振込み (ginkoukouza e no ofurikomi) - transfer money to bank account (theirs)
3 - 作成開始 (sakusei kaishi) - production starts
4 - 完成のご連絡 (kansei no gorenraku) - notify (you) once complete
5 - 御指定先へ郵送 (oshitesaki e yuusou) - mail to predetermined place
フルオーダ(full order)
Almost the same as semi order, but step 2 says that you must meet with them... so if you want to fly to japan and do that go ahead. This time though instead of 2 months, it will take > 6 months (6ヵ月) for the whole process.
