This is one of several scans I'm posting today. All inks (except the one noted) are bottled ink. Except for that one exception, all color names were written with a Speedball B-6 steel dip nib (the exception was written with the corner of a Pilot Parallel pen).

These are photos taken without flash, then adjusted to be consistent with each other and to match what I see (to the extent possible on my particular monitor). I hope they are useful to someone.

Blues:

- Diamine Blue Black (looks almost identical to my friend's bottle of Noodler's Navy in color, a deep blue with a green tinge and little to no gray or black, fairly saturated for a Diamine ink)

- Montblanc Blue (a soft blue with a touch of gray, not very saturated)

- Sheaffer Blue (Skrip/Slovenia) (a medium blue, no gray like the Montblanc and the tiniest touch of purple, becomes vibrant in a wetter-writing pen)

- Diamine Indigo (deep blue gray that is warmer and darker than MB Blue, not as bold or as greenish as Diamine Blue Black, shades nicely)

- Noodler's - Swisher Pens Waterproof Gulf Stream Blue (color varies from a chalky medium blue in a dry-writing pen to a medium but not vibrant blue in a wetter pen)

- Visconti Blue (medium blue that is more vibrant than Sheaffer Blue and without the very slight hint of purple that Sheaffer Blue has)

- Noodler's Blue (very saturated medium blue that looks like it has a green tinge when compared to Visconti Blue, but looks true blue when compared with Diamine Blue Black or Indigo)

Thanks, blueiris -- I have or have seen a couple of the inks you scanned, and they look true on my particular monitor. That means Diamine Indigo goes back on my want list!

The Montblanc blue looks like blue black to me. The Montblanc blue that I have is more violet in tone. Is there a code on the bottom of your bottle?

There was a code, but it's mostly rubbed off now--it's at least five or so years old. The colored dot on the bottle's label is a bright blue, if that tells anything.
