I decided to order an M600 as an upgrade to my 200.

The price that Ray at pelikanpens.co.uk is offering for this november only was too good to pass up, even though I love the looks of the cities. I'll be more inclined to actually carry this one around too, I'd baby the special edition too much.

It writes wonderfully, very much smoother than the steel nib of the 200 and a little broader, even though both have M on the nib. I need to practise my writing skills to adjust, my 'o's have no hole at the moment half the time! I'm so not worthy of this pen! Practise makes perfect of course, I'm sure i'll improve. With biros as I have often used, I hated putting pen to paper, as a kid I despised writing by hand, but this is much more fun and easy. In that sense the price tag of a good pen is justified IMHO.

Its really amazing how nice this pen is, I'm well pleased with it but I'm also so very tempted to pick up a CS 58 as well, seeing as i got this cheaper smile.gif

Thanks for looking! smile.gif

Congrats on the new M600! What color/style did you get? Keep us posted - and don't worry, you're not alone in the "needs work on handwriting" category. Many of us do - some are actually working on it (some of us plan to in the near future).

Thanks southpaw smile.gif

I'll keep working on the writing thing, I've gotten through nearly a full load of ink playing around today!

I've attached a quick and dirty photo smile.gif I wish I'd took the cap off now, the nib is quite pretty. I've run out of light for today though, doh!

I too have a Pelikan M600 (blue stripes) and this was the first large pen I have bought. I do not use it as much as I should but it is a wonderful reliable pen with a buttery soft and smooth 14kt gold medium nib. I am a Pelikaholic and my thirst for Pelikan pens has yet to be satisfied!!! I am sure you will enjoy it. Congrats
