Greetings and welcome to FPN! Glad you found us. Sounds like you are very much into the hobby with all the show traveling you do. Could you tell us a little bit about your vintage Conklin collection?
Looking forward to seeing you around the boards and getting to know you better.
Southpaw, my Conklin collection has several hundred pieces, various catalogs and copys of catalogs and more than 250 vintage Conklin adds. I also have original trays and desk pen bases. In last year edition of the Madrid Pen Show, more than 125 pieces or my collection were show in an impresive Oak original display.
I have crescents in gold and silver filigree, gold cescent overlays, Red & Black Hard rubber crescents, black hard rubber crescents, Enduras, symetrics, Nozacs, Ensembles, Chicago's,..., most of them with the matching pencils and hundreds of parts.
I have been collecting Conklins for the las 10 years. I also collect vintage vest pockets pen and pencils by PArker (duofolds), Sheaffer, Wahl Eversharp, & Waterman.
JeffTL, my favorite ink is the vintage pelikan in blue and Black, and I prefer Italic and stubb nibs ruther that fine or broad ones.
Mannenhitsu, the website is a very very simple one with only a bit of information of th show, but unfortunately, don't have time to do something better, please visit www.madridpenshow.com.
If some of you can give me a hand with how to upload the pictures, I will apreciate. Contact me backwards to alfonso.mur@terra.es.
Thanks to all for such an impresive reception
