Hi everyone!

I feel it's time for my first FP, and I'm looking for one of these:

Namiki/Pilot VP (also Decimo)
Lamy 2000
Pelikan 250 or possibly 400 or 405 if the price is right.

Must be in more or less mint condition and have a fine nib. Preferably not to shrill colours.

Best regards,
th0m

IMH(and limited)O, you have picked out some very nice candidates for your first pen. From what I've read on here, it would be hard to go wrong with any of those. Just keep in mind the clip location of the VP. I chose to go with the Falcon instead. Mine should be in next week. I did consider the VP for a while though. I wanted a Lamy too, but went with the Studio. Sam @ pendemonium is having mine ground to a 1.1mm stub. Should have it soon too. As for Pelikans--none yet, but I hope to remedy that soon, even if the Majesty is still aways off yet.

If it is still available, the Pelikan M400 White Tortoise from Pam Braun for around $100 is definitely the best bang for the buck. If you go Here you can scroll down, and it is listed for $99. Don't know about shipping, and I have not dealt with her personally, but Pam Braun has an excellent reputation on FPN, and I have read nothing bad about her. FPN posters are not shy about sharing problems with vendors, so that is a huge plus mark for Pam.

I have an M200, with Binder F, and I love it. The M400 is a step up, with a better nib, and a nicer, classier look.
