I have a wonderful Pilot, Gold Tone I guess, that is converter fill only. The converter appears to be permanently attached to the top of the section. The pen leaks where the nib and holder join the bottom of the section. Before I ruin it, I thought I would ask if someone has a suggestion on how best to repair. I suppose sending it out for repair would be the very best, but would like to make the attempt myself, it that is feasible. The converter reads "PRESS HERE" with "Pilot 9406" underneath.
