HI ALL
HAS ANYONE EVER TRIED USING A VIBRATING TYPE OF ENGRAVER AND SUBSTITUTING THE POINT FOR A ROUNDED AND POLISHED TIP SO YOU AE IN FACT DELIVERNG TINY HMMER BLOWS INSTEAD OF JUST RELYING ON BURNISHING DONT WANT TO BY ONE IF SOMEONE HAS ALREADY TRIED THIS OR CAN THINK OF A REASON NOT TO

I wouldn't. Nib work is delicate and I like to see and feel what I am doing with my hand. With any power tool you can cause a lot of damage really fast.

First off, STOP SHOUTING, *mild rebuke*.

I have one of these machines for engraving glass and metal objects, to be honest, never ever considered using for the purpose mentioned. I have a large oversize Parker vac arrow nib, that has a dent in it, I have burnished a good bit of it out , but it ain't perfect yet. I'm loathe to use heat, as I think this would kill the two tone on the nib. Your suggestion may work, but for the moment, I'll persevere with elbow grease.

I may try this with some other nibs that require it, but with great care, the machine I have has a lot of settings, so thanks for planting the seed of an idea, for the future.
