First off, STOP SHOUTING, *mild rebuke*.
I have one of these machines for engraving glass and metal objects, to be honest, never ever considered using for the purpose mentioned. I have a large oversize Parker vac arrow nib, that has a dent in it, I have burnished a good bit of it out , but it ain't perfect yet. I'm loathe to use heat, as I think this would kill the two tone on the nib. Your suggestion may work, but for the moment, I'll persevere with elbow grease.
I may try this with some other nibs that require it, but with great care, the machine I have has a lot of settings, so thanks for planting the seed of an idea, for the future.
