Hey Ya'll,
another newbie here. I've been badly bitten by the fountain pen bug this year and have started accumulating them. I wanter a pen with some flex to try that out. Well, I found my first Waterman #3. A tine was bent and the sac was so solid that the leveer would not evenr move. I took her apart, straightened the nib, cleaned it up, replaced the sac and .... WOW what a nice writter!

Be careful, Waterman's is a deep hole.

Perhaps not as big as Parker or Sheaffer, but Waterman's seem to be consistently great writers and there are some really good looking models.

I'm just curious, how does the flex in a Waterman #3 nib compare to an Eversharp Skyline flex nib?

Watermans BAD.

After using it a few days, there is a slight leak between the section and feed. Should I pull it back apart ans shellac it? Is there a better method?
