I stol...borrowed unsure.gif my fathers italic pen today and gave the Chancery italic at the top of the page a go. After a few hours work learning the hand, here's the result:

Um, I don't know what to tell you other than to try harder to copy the model.

You're getting there - just shorten the height a bit and you've got it.

I know that the shapes aren't that accurate yet (nigh on no practise), I was just asking if anyone would see anything that I was constantly doing wrong in it.

It may have its flaws but it looks amazing compared to my attempts even after 2 weeks of practice. sad.gif Darn quick learners. SIGH!! wink.gif

In order to give an even texture, all the downstrokes should be the same width. "illuminates," for example, looks anorexic. You might also want to pay more attention to balancing white and black space so that from far away, the writing looks an even shade of grey.

Which model are you using? It looks weird.
