Hello All,

I've just become acquainted with this site and saw its value immediately. I've been a fountain pen collector since 1993, Conklin's are my favorite, but I have collected everything that caught my attention. I've been in the Navy and Marine Corps a combined total of 27 years and will retire this year (2008). I have been to many of the pen shows and enjoy that environment for many reasons - interaction with great pen people, the wonderful variety of pens, and the opportunity to find a rare or unusual pen. Lately I've been interested in English pens - Conway Stewart, Onoto, Mentmore, etc.
My last duty station was Iceland, where we met some wonderful people and experienced a really interesting culture.
I look forward to meeting you on this site or at a pen show.
Regards, Dayne

Welcome Dayne.

Greetings from a former Army Grunt!!! How well do you find FPs fitting into your daily military regiment? I know that in the INfantry, it wouldn't work too well, though there was one on this board who swore by it.

Welcome Dayne, from a brand new member. Thanks for your service and enjoy the retirement. I had the pleasure of spending 3 months in Iceland at the Navy Air Base and enjoyed the people and the places very much.

BernieC (ex. Coast Guard)

We have a Golf Course?

How long were you going to keep this from me?

Welcome Dayne -

Thank you for your service to our country.

It's our Warrior Class who make it safe for me to sit in front of the fireplace with a pot of Earl Grey wrapping gifts and writing cards.

Have fun in retirement.

Fair winds!

Welcome to FPN from a former Navy guy. Started out as an enlisted guy and didn't know how good I had it until I got a commission. Left the service in '75. I loved it but not real easy for the wife.
