Full Version: Does Bexley produce bespoke pens?

It seems Bexley are more receptive than other pen companies to the idea of producing small limited editions, interesting prototypes, etc. My question is, do they accept commission work? For example, I'm sure that it would be fairly expensive, but if I were to contact them and ask them to produce an Americana or AtB in a certain material, would they accept? Just curious. Thanks in advance,
David

David,
you can always ask thumbup.gif I talked with Howard and got all of the issues knocked down with the FPN pen. If it is just a color change it might not be a big issue but you still need time on their machines.

Go to the Bexley website and email them.

Good point, Kurt. I guess the worst they can say is no. I'll give it a shot. Best,
David

OldGriz did something like this. I think he turned the pen... but it was a Bexley design with Bexley hardware.
Richard
Bexley's willingness to do work of this type depends on the quantity desired and the design of the pen. Howard and I will be discussing this more after the holidays.

Or you can call them: 614 351 9988. It is a small company, perhaps Howard himself will pick up the phone.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. I'll contact Howard and see what happens. Gerard, I was tipped off to the fact Chuck had found me, so it was time to go incognito ;-) Best,
David

Thanks, James. It was actually OldGriz's post that gave me hope that Bexley/Howard would at least be open to the idea, though I obviously don't have the relationship with Howard that Griz does. We'll see. Best,
David
