Hi,
I finally traded with Gerry for an SJ in green with the 9550. Gerry did an impeccable polishing job on it. What sort of material is it made of? I can see a beautiful, straight seam on my pen.
9550 nibs are tipped right?
More on the pen later. I will post a writing sample and some ink reviews for Woodwindmaster when I can.

To my knowledge, all Esterbrook 9xxx nibs are tipped.
Unless I am gravely mistaken, Esterbrook SJs (and also Js and LJs) are celluloid. I have a blue one and it's quite attractive. Any chances of photographs of the pen itself?
