Has anyone ever purchased on ebay from Penprinzess? Is he a trustworthy seller? He only accepts paypal in euros or wired funds? What % of the cost of the pen can one anticipate to pay for import duties to the US?

I've bought from Norbert several times. An outstanding seller. I've not been dinged with import duties yet on any of my purchases. All are shipped via mail, so that probably helps it some.

His pens are always delivered in beautiful working condition and they match the beautiful pictures he posts on the eBay listings.

I don't blame him with the value of the Euro vs. Dollar right now and many of the European sellers have started to adopt such policies recently. PayPal will deal with the conversion for you.

I too can attest to Norbert's (PenPrinzess) business practices. Top notch and first rate. No import duties. Yeah, the Euro currency is tough for us to deal with... I don't blame Norbert for demanding payment in Euros. It's part of the price we have to pay for our current screwed up government.

a few topics down is one about how Norbert failed. I would encourage you to read this.

I was going to add the same thing. Look here for the thread titled "Norbert Otto." There is a similar thread on Pentrace. I think it is worth a read.

I bought a pen from him, and he was very nice during the transaction. His feedback is good. I posted in this regard further down (his name is Norbert Otto). I sent the pen to him because the diaphragm failed soon after purchase. It was away for four months. When it returned it no longer threaded shut, and appeared to me the barrel had been switched (Norbert said he send the pen to the UK for repair, so I can't prove he did it). I asked for help finding a new barrel, or replacing the body of the pen. I offered to pay for it if necessary. It's been two months, and he has not responded to a single email. Not one.
