Just as a note to all - I deleted a duplicate post to this one.

Also - there is no problem posting "look at this great deal" posts, so long as you are not the seller. Not accusing Blue Fingers of being the seller, but the moderators have discussed the appropriateness of these posts, and I'm saying they are ok so long as they don't run amok and clog up the board.

FYI - the image above is a photo I took. Please attribute photos you post in consideration of the copyright holder. I'm hoping the eBay seller is not using my photos...

I searched for recent sales of Lazuli's and cannot find a sale from this seller. I also searched a few weeks of feedback for this seller and there are no Lazuli's, only a RB and an MP.

Perhaps the OP will tell us his or her ebay ID so we can find the sale of this pen?

Beautiful pen. Seller must have sold out.

Actually, the seller does not own *that* pen. He is using a photo from an article on my website.

It's too easy to get or make your own photos without stealing other people's work.

They're not using that photo any more on new listings. I see several more Lapis Townsends listed.

Yep - contacted the seller and he changed the photo. He used it because he "found it with Google." This happens so often it makes my head hurt.

I wondered what had happened. He put up a whole bunch of nice pens at some very good prices.... and then he disappeared! Very strange....

Some sellers let their listings continue to be seen during vacation, and some suspend their listings. Looks like she did the latter. (Seller's first name is apparently Dawn, fwiw.)

The seller is a longtime Ebay seller, and I have bought several nice Townsend's, a Century II sterling and a 150th Anniversary bp. I enjoy buying large and nice pens pens to use-and I have NEVER SOLD a PEN, although I like to give pens as gifts. And, I HATE paying RETAIL. He (Glen) sells at great prices or he wouldn't be selling to me, and his pens come in 2-3 days. My personal pocketbook experience with the seller is much better than average, and shipping is faster than Domino's.
I'm guessing Dawn works for Glen, as she was NOT traveling with him. My impression from previous experience is that he has a pen business in Rhode Island near Cross's facilities, and a STAFF. Had I considered him suspect, I would not have posted the item. If anybody missed the Lazuli Townsends, cie la` vie....procrastination is not a virtue. "HE HAD FIVE OR SIX" when I left the note after buying my Lazuli Townsend.

ANY LAPIS LAZULI pen is expensive, and rare. Like buffalo, I may never see that many again.

I thought that might be of interest to other lapis and/or Townsend fans. Sorry to have annoyed so many folks. I learned my lesson. I saw a sterling Cross 150th Anniversary fp for $200 NIB and kept quiet. Ha!

With apologies to Carl Perkins...AH-HAH, Honey, LAY OFF MY LAZULI SUEDE SHOES!

sign me,
Sad and LAZULI over you!

Yeah, looking at their site more carefully -- it's Glen that's the main person. Dawn is the person who emailed me.

I'd still love a replacement lapis townsend ballpoint, but I'm not holding my breath. Instead, I decided to replace the ballpoint with another brand and get the lapis FP.

No need to apologize. You saw a good deal, and you let us know about it. You didn't know that the pens would sell as fast as they did, or that the seller would go on a month's vacation. You did us all a favor, and for that we thank you.

They are using it again. Cross being in Rhode Island, one of the most corrupt states in the U.S., I wonder whether whenever any cross pens show up in stolen shipping containers, the thieves working for organized crime dump them on seller's like this one. I am saying this half-jokingly but also half-seriously.
