I bought 500 each of Office Depot's house brand security envelopes in standard business size and 6-3/4" size, and I did some ink tests.

Inks tested: Noodlers Bulletproof Black, Fox Red, Hunter Green, Mix of Golden Brown and Black. Note that Hunter Green and Fox Red are quite feather-prone.

Both envelopes have a nice surface finish, very smooth writing, good ink acceptance.

Business envelope feathering:

Black none
Red moderate but acceptable
Green moderate but acceptable
Brown none

6-3/4" envelope feathering:

Black none
Red severe, not acceptable
Green severe, not acceptable
Brown none

I use these also and have good results with Diamine WES Imperial Blue.
